BE WARY OF LATVIA

That was best illustrated when I attended game three of the Western Conference Quarterfinal between the Calgary Flames and the Chicago Blackhawks two weeks ago. The Saddledome was electric and the “C of red” was inspiring.

DOMINATING THE WHL

hitmen1The Calgary Hitmen have had a sensational WHL Season to date. Heading into the WHL Final against the Kelowna Rockets starting tonight at the Pengrowth Saddledome, the Hitmen have gone 12-0 in the postseason (swept Edmonton, Lethbridge and Brandon) after going an amazing 59-9-4 in the regular season. REALIGNMENT OF SOUTHEAST HOCKEY BOUNDARY CONSIDERED

 Growing up, my brother Geoff played hockey until he was eleven years of age. In those early years of novice and atom (late 1980’s), I remember going to the Erin Woods Arena to watch him play and compete against Seven Clubs. This organization always gave Geoff’s Crowchild Blackhawk team a run for their money. They played with an edge to their game and more aggression.
