LAST MESSAGE FROM ITALY FROM NSD GU16 JAGUARS SOCCER TEAM

Good morning,

Last email from Italy!!!!!  The girls played last night and we lost 2 to1 but they played great.  It was a womens team with a national player on it so we were proud OF THE jAGS.  Unfortunately, their pretty baby blue jerseys and shorts did not fair so well in the mud.  We tried to soak and clean them but I am not liking our chances haha.  Be prepared for total exhaustion from your girls! This has been a dream for all of them.  I want to thank all the Mom’s that were here as they were fabulous as well as the girls.  Parents be proud of them,  they are all wonderful young ladies and it has been a pleasure being here with them.

So here we go ONE MORE SLEEP and they are coming home safe, tired, broke but with memories that will be with them and me forever.

NSD Jaguars Update from the Weekend March 28 & 29

Boun Giorno

Well yesterday (Saturday) was Rome.   We had a wonderful day.  Sunday it started off with a training session in the am and then off to the outlet mall in (we don’t know where)  hahahahah Great shopping .  Then hopped on the bus and off for a 3 hour ride to Pisa, and it was incredible.  We toughed it out in the rain as it poured but then we went to the Seria B match between Bari and Pisa.  That was something to experience.

Tell you more later but definately interesting.  Just imagine shooting off fireworks at the Dome between the stands, I am not liking our chances.  Arrived back at our hotel at 3:30 Am and off to bed and up at 8 for training for 2 hours and then off to Assissi for the afternoon, girls are going to dress up for dinner tonight should be fun.  We are all pooped but everything is ok a few sore throats but we are looking after them, it is all good.  Talk soon.

MARCH 27 UPDATE FROM THE JAGS IN PERUGIA ITALY

Yesterday after the game  we went to a beautiful historic city called Cortona (this is where “Under the Tuscun Sun” was filmed) it had cobble streets and windy roads with beautiful buildings.  In Perugia/Umbria it is all hilly no matter where you go.

Today the girls had a training session, lunch and went shopping and touring in Perugia.  Tomorrow we are off to Rome for a full day of beautiful sites, by the way the italian boys love our girls but no worries they love the attention and so do the mom’s.

JAGS UPDATE FROM THURSDAY MARCH 26

The Girls played their second game in Siena, the Jaguars won 7 to 1.  Alex scored 3, , Christina 2, Jamie 1, Casey 1.  The team they played was not great…

Siena was beautiful, but very hilly (for Kristen), Alex has hurt her ankle which was not looking great , Madison and Caitlyn also hurt something, but didn’t look too bad and will likely be okay by tomorrow…  for now, Kristen is in need of some ice, as is Alex likely…..
Hope to hear more from the Team later and maybe some pictures….
