Two men wanted on outstanding warrants were arrested by Calgary police during a bust have now been charged with a variety of trafficking, weapons and other charges.  Dimitrios Guikas, 54, and George Donovan Brown, 48, were both also wanted on Canada-wide immigration warrants.  Continue Reading

STARS Air Ambulance was called to an accident scene on Thursday  at approximately 9 p.m.  A serious two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 24 St and  Spruce Meadows Trail SW.  A 17 year old girl was critically injured and two people were seriously injured, according to Calgary police. A woman was awoken last night by a stranger standing in her apartment.  At around 3:30 a.m. Friday she was sleeping in her apartment in the 2400 block of 2nd Street S.W. and was roused out of her sleep by a noise.  She left her bedroom to investigate and found a man had entered her apartment.  She screamed and the man fled through the door of the building.
