Lowe's will be opening a new store in the Shepard Business Park

Lowe’s is coming to Calgary and one of its new home improvement stores will be located in the Shepard Business Park near 130 Avenue S.E.. As part of the company’s previously announced plans to open 35 to 45 stores in North America in fiscal 2010, Lowe’s is opening three stores in the Calgary region, CrossIron Mills, the Sunridge Indusrtrial Area and the Shepard industrial area near McKenzie Towne. ABC/A Box Company was started by 14 high school students
Becoming a successful business owner is never easy and having a little training and experience comes in handy. With ABC/A Box Company, high school students from across Calgary, including Centennial High in the southeast quadrant, learned some valuable lessons as part of the Junior Achievement program.
The business began in October, 2008. A group of 14 students joined the Junior Achievement after school program. Their first task was to participate in a business planning process with their professional advisors from Fluor Canada, Gorana Radvic and Andrew Cheung, both engineers. Continue Reading
