Craig Burrows wrote a letter to the Auditor General of Alberta on August 18, requesting that their office be ready to conduct a forensic audit on Calgary’s books.
At a media scrum Wednesday, Barb Higgins said she would not bring in the Auditor General of Alberta. This decision would cost Calgarians millions.

The temperature of the political fight over the airport tunnel climbed a few more degrees today as the lone opponent among mayoral candidates released his estimates of the interest costs – and tax increases – needed to finance the project. Bob Hawkesworth says those costs alone could lead to a three to four per cent increase in the Calgary property tax bill, but his opponents say he has his numbers all wrong. Continue Reading
