Calgary Police have released new photos of a high-risk offender who is wanted after breaching conditions of his release.  Dean Robert Zimmerman was released into the Calgary area at the end of September after having served just over three years in prison after conviction of sexual assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.

In the early hours of Oct. 14 Zimmerman was required to be at a specified address at a certain time, as a condition of his release. When police checked the specified address, Zimmerman failed to present himself. 

He was also required to meet with police before 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, and did not appear.  As this constituted a breach of his release, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Zimmerman is also suspected of making fraudulent deposits at a TD Canada Trust bank machine in the 3600 block of Brentwood Road N.W. on two separate occasions on Oct. 11 and 12.  It is alleged that he deposited empty envelopes in an attempt to fraudulently obtain an undisclosed sum of money.

Calgarians are warned that Zimmerman has a history of violently, sexually assaulting adult women. His offences have been against adult women known to him for varying lengths of time.   He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head. He is 5’8” tall and 205 pounds.

Police suspect he may be heading to B.C., but have not ruled out the possibility that he may still be in Calgary.
