Calgary Police want to talk to this woman about a mugging at Marlborough Mall

An elderly woman is shaken after being mugged in the parking lot of the Marborough Mall Tuesday afternoon.  Police are asking anyone who might have witnessed the crime to come forward.  The victim had left the mall around 2:10 p.m. and was walking to her parked car when she was approached by an unknown woman, then pushed to the ground and her purse was stolen.

The offender jumped into the passenger side of a gold-coloured Jeep Grand Cherokee, with what is believed to be a man driving, and fled the parking lot in an unknown direction.

Police believe this is the vehicle muggers used to flee the crime scene

The victim suffered a minor injury as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal woman, approximately 25 to 35 years-of-age, approximately 5’7″ to 5’9″ tall, weighing approximately 110 lbs. She has shoulder -length dark-coloured hair and was wearing burgundy sweatpants with a white stripe down the sides, a multi -coloured horizontal striped shirt, a black jacket, and black baseball cap at the time of the incident.
