For the past 30 years, the University of Saskatchewan has been a part of my life. Given the number of graduates who fill professional roles in Saskatchewan – and in Alberta and elsewhere, too – the influence of this institution shouldn’t be understated. Continue Reading

With the election of Barack Obama, education policies in the United States are going to change. One of the possible changes is that teachers are going to be paid on merit and not seniority. Of course, the idea of merit pay for teachers will seep north of the border too. Continue Reading

Well yesterday (Saturday) was Rome. We had a wonderful day. Sunday it started off with a training session in the am and then off to the outlet mall in (we don’t know where) hahahahah Great shopping . Then hopped on the bus and off for a 3 hour ride to Pisa, and it was incredible. We toughed it out in the rain as it poured but then we went to the Seria B match between Bari and Pisa. That was something to experience.
Tell you more later but definately interesting. Just imagine shooting off fireworks at the Dome between the stands, I am not liking our chances. Arrived back at our hotel at 3:30 Am and off to bed and up at 8 for training for 2 hours and then off to Assissi for the afternoon, girls are going to dress up for dinner tonight should be fun. We are all pooped but everything is ok a few sore throats but we are looking after them, it is all good. Talk soon.

Ric McIver. He says several of his Council colleagues are talking about a “Plan B” and they should stop it immediately before they jeorpardize the agreement. Continue Reading

What does vegetarianism have to do with faith? Well, in our society today… not much. I was raised a typical Christian in most areas of theology. When it came to creation and animal care, it wasn’t talked about too much. Continue Reading
